Column mappings connect the field names in your claims file to the corresponding fields required by Beacon Rebate Model. Saving a mapping as a template allows you to reuse the same configuration for future files with the same column structure, reducing the need to manually map fields for each submission.
Note: Beacon Rebate Model will begin accepting claims data submissions on January 1, 2027. Until then, you can use the submission experience to become familiar with functionality such as column mapping and identifying data formatting issues. Files used to create a mapping do not need to be submitted.
Creating a column mapping template
Navigate to the appropriate Submissions tab.
Open the Column Mappings tab. The Column Mappings tab is where you can find all existing column maps and create new ones.
Select Create New Mapping to open a new column map.
Enter a name for your new column mapping template. This template name is for internal use only and will not appear in your submission.
Click Attach to upload your file for column mapping. Beacon uses the file's column headers to build the mapping. The file is used only to configure the template and does not need to be submitted.
Match each column header from your file to the corresponding Beacon field.
Drag a field from your uploaded file to the appropriate Beacon field. The names do not need to match exactly; use the field definitions to identify the correct relationship. For example, if your file uses Contracted Entity ID for the covered entity's 340B identifier, map that column to 340B ID.
If a formatting issue is detected, Beacon will display a column mapping error. To correct the issue, click the trash icon to remove the incorrect mapping, then assign the correct field header.
Map each of the fields from your file to the appropriate Beacon field. Once all required fields are mapped, the Save button becomes available.
Click Save.
After you save a template, it becomes available for future files with the same column structure.
When attaching a claims file, select the applicable template from the Column Mapping dropdown. Beacon applies the saved mappings automatically, allowing you to review the mapped fields before continuing through the submission process.You can also return to the Column Mappings tab to edit or delete an existing template.
